Volunteer homeowners elected by the community to guide Kicking Horse Lodges.
The KHL Board of Directors sets policy, oversees the property management company, reviews finances, and makes decisions that affect our community. Board members are unpaid volunteers who donate their time and effort to improve life at Kicking Horse Lodges.
The Board meets monthly, typically via Zoom, and all homeowners are welcome to attend. The annual meeting is held each August. Meeting details are communicated via email and the owner portal.
Avie brings 38 years of running her family's retail specialty food stores, restaurant, and catering business to the board. From creating company policy and training programs to contract negotiations and opening new locations, she learned how to move large groups of people toward a common goal. A lifetime learner, she went back to school in her mid-50s and became a Master Nutrition Therapist. She has also served on the board of a venture capital firm and two equine therapy nonprofits.
When she's not reviewing KHL business, you'll find Avie traveling with her husband Lee, scuba diving, biking, skiing, playing golf, working out, or in the kitchen. She's currently working on a hobby website to share her family recipes with friends.
Cameron brings a unique combination of construction and aviation leadership to the board. He started in the trades as a teenager and worked his way up to managing large-scale commercial construction projects across California, Nevada, and Washington. After a career pivot, he became a commercial airline pilot and now serves as Director of Flight Operations for a private flight department out of Centennial.
His background in construction budgets, project scoping, and vendor management make him a valuable KHL board member. When he's not in the office or the cockpit, you'll find him on the pickleball court, on a trail somewhere in Grand County with his wife and two dogs, or with tools in hand, finding something to fix.
Trude brings a blend of financial leadership and international business experience to the board. Originally from Norway, she has built a career spanning accounting, financial management, and executive leadership across manufacturing, technology, and professional services. She currently serves in a leadership role at IPS, where she oversees financial and operational initiatives.
Her background in corporate finance, strategic planning, and business process improvement brings a strong operational perspective to the board. When she's not working, you'll find Trude spending time with family and friends, traveling, supporting youth sports, or finding new ways to connect people and ideas.
